Our paint correction treatments start like many of our services with a full two bucket wash and decontamination. Once the vehicle is clean, we can assess the paintwork to determine the best approach. We take paint readings and conduct a test spot to determine the best pad and polishing liquid combination to get the very best results.
What is Paint Correction?
Paint Correction is the process of restoring automotive finishes through labor-intensive polishing. Through these polishing stages, the defects are carefully leveled and the gloss and clarity are restored. This process brings the finish back to a better than brand new level. Using the most advanced abrasive technology and the most modern safe polishing techniques, any paint finish can be dramatically enhanced.
Levels of Paint Correction
There are many variables to consider when approaching a paint correction service. Things like - the vehicle manufacturer, the year it got painted, and the type of paint used. Our job is to determine the very best approach to achieve the level of paint correction that you are looking for. Single Stage
This level of paint correction utilizes one stage of machine polishing, also referred to as one-step polishing. While this is not considered a “perfection detail”, a big transformation in the condition of the paint can be achieved.
40-50% Defect Removal
Multi-Stage
This level of paint correction goes a step further. Utilizing a multi-stage approach, this starts with a compounding phase to remove deeper defects. That is followed by a polishing phase to further refine the paintwork and restore the clarity and depth.
75-85% Defect Removal
95% Defect Removal

What is Paint Correction?

Can all paintwork be corrected?
Unfortunately, no. Not all vehicle's are painted the same and differences in painting methods and techniques can result in low paint measurement readings. Paint correction removes a microscopic l layer of clear coat, which is why ensuring there is enough material (clear coat) beforehand is essential.
Does my new vehicle need correction?
From light scratches from improper washing and preparation at the dealership to heavy scratches and swirls from transporting. In most cases, even brand new vehicles come with a range of paint defects that need to be removed through paint correction.
How long do the results last?
Adopting a safe two bucket wash process will minimize swirls and scratches in the paintwork over time. You can lock in the results of a correction for the long haul by covering the corrected panels with PPF or a ceramic coating
Should I come in for a consultation?
Yes, we really need to see the vehicle to give an accurate assessment of what level of paint correction is needed to achieve the desired results. When we start your project and the vehicle is washed and decontaminated, we can adjust the plan based on what we find.
